80GB PS3 Bundle Releasing in Japan
80GB PS3 Bundle, in Various Colors for Japan
Famitsu announced today that Sony will be releasing an 80gb version of the PS3 console for the same pricing as the current 40gb model. The new release will also come bundled with the newest version of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue Spec III.
Sony also plans to offer Little Big Planet bundled with an extra Dual Shock controller for an additional cost over the standard 80gb bundle.
As far as the colors go, there was no specific mention of what they plan to release. Knowing Japan I would expect some pretty wild color options on the consoles. It will be cool if they do the same type of release in the US to offer more options to PS3 fans here.
If you have been waiting to get a new PS3 console (and live in Japan :P) this could be the perfect time to look into making the investment. If you live in the USA like most of us do you will probably want to wait to see is Sony offers any other types of promotions here at home due to the slow economy.

Resident Evil 5 Producers Discuss Co-Op Mode
Want to Share the Terror of Resident Evil with Your Friends?
For those who are die hard fans of the Resident Evil series and even those who are not but just enjoy a good horror survival game, news of a Resident Evil 5 Co-Op mode should have you shaking with anticipation.
Capcom announced today a co-op mode in the game which accounts for some of the delays and budget issues the company has run into. They mentioned how this should open the game up to players who would have otherwise avoided the title because it is a “scary” game and some gamers don’t want to play it by themselves.
From the details it sounds as though the Co-Op option is going to add a very robust platform for multiplayer either with friends or with random people from the internet.
This type of addition is a huge step for the Resident Evil series which has held true to its game formula for many years. According to designers they felt this was a needed change that was long overdue.
