What Do You Expect from Your Country in the 2008 Election?
Please share this with as many people as you know Democrat or Republican…
to help people better understand the issues surrounding this election.
Our country has changed so much in the past few years. I wish we could say it has been for the “better”.
My biggest concern with the November election is that there are people who will be making their presidential choice based solely on what party they belong to.
We live in a society that is too concerned with whose team is the “winning” team, rather than who is going to fight to help improve our lives as individuals.
I think we need to finally move past what party we belong to or what party our parents belonged to, and start really focusing on what we want from our country.
We have been told very little about policies in this presidential race because a large part of this election has focused on defining a person’s character, instead of talking about their ideas as a leader.
Now we could draw up a list of the policies that each candidate supports, but instead I would rather ask you what you expect from your country. What changes do you want see?
I came across an interesting quiz on USA Today that asks your opinions on specific issues and relates those ideas back to the views of the candidates.
Please take a minute to check this out and decide for yourself what you expect from your next president. You might just be surprised by the outcome.
