Personally I was pretty bummed when Tribes Vengeance kind of came and went and was hoping for something closer to the original Tribes feel. From what I have seen in the trailers Tribes Ascend could potentially fill that gap and provide an awesome, fast paced Sci-Fi shooter to fill the void.

I remember back in the day, playing the original Tribes on a 56K dial-up modem. Back in those days I would redial my ISP over and over to try and squeeze out that extra couple K on the handshake.
Back before cable modems and high speed internet we had to compensate for lag with the way we played, so you would aim about 10 feet ahead of some guy to make sure you got that headshot.
Kids today are spoiled with all their high speed internetz.
