   I’m going to continue to update this list and create two others that will help users find the type of games they are looking for quickly. I understand some sites may have a list with a wider selection of games but I am going to structure mine in such a way that they are more organized than most sites. I feel two main questions users have are what quality graphics does a game have, and when did the game come out. (Because they don’t want to be a lowbie in a world of end-gamers). Thanks for checking it out though!

   Wow … I certainly didn’t know there are so many free MMORPG out there. The only MMO game I play is World of Warcraft.

    Big Update – 05/31/2008 – Added 25 NEW Games and an Anime / Kid Friendly selection of games at the bottom of the list. Thanks for checking it out! Any feedback on the list is appreciated! ^_^

    That’s a massive list.

    I really can’t believe how many MMORPG’s there are now. They’ve come a long way from Ultima Online and Everquest, worth of which I used to play (sadly haha)…

    What mmorpg has the best graphics? :d i really need to know lol.. i played most of them already : silkroad cabal shaiya martialheroes perfectworld fiesta maplestory pristontale rakion 2moons rappelz ageofarmour worldofkunfu lastchaos 2moons(aka dekaron)
    and more that arent in this list.. like wow privateserver and even runescape lol and etc .. i could play every mmorpg on my geforce 7300GT 512mb on the highest graphics!.. there must be a better one with highergraphics lol

    best graphics = l2 (that will change when aion comes out)

    best gameplay = l2 (that will probably only change when l3 comes out =p)

    i’ll try requiem: bloodymare , it seems very nice from what i’ve seen , gory and mature nice list

    its not released in ameica, its a korean based server (english), and its either you can’t download the game, or u just lag to death.

    You forgot to add Shin Megami Tensei IMAGINE. It opened for the US.. I think early this year. It has open in Japan for a year.

    This list is crap, more tan half of those games are not graphically impressive in any way whatsoever. For some reason you think quantity is better than quality

    I do very much like this list as it has a lot of different games on it in such a wide variety, and yeah, you just can’t satisfy some people. These games wouldn’t be free if their quality was good enough to impress them. It’s best just to ignore their opinions entirely.

    hey i stumbled across this game list….and i would like to add a game i thoroughly enjoy and have played through a lot and it’s aimed at a more mature audience…it’s called requiem bloodymare (bloodmare?….it’s not in the title but that’s the name you’ll find it under)…it is very fun and detailed.

    Hi guys,

    There is a selection of wicked mmorpgs that have the best and latest graphics by far that I have seen.

    One problem.

    They probably wont be released for another couple of years. The one closest to release that I saw was Guild Wars 2.

    But nice list!

    Nice list, but you’re missing one key ingredient: territory. Meaning servers and their location. Is the list made up of MMOs available to NA players? Which ones are available in the EU?

    Needless to say, most won’t bother playing on NA servers if they live in Europe and vice versa.

    What about a game like Dungeons and dragons online? it has good gameplay in it. A lot of dungeons, a lot of quests, and its F2P. There is an item shop, but you can accumulate points to use in it without spending money as you play. It has pretty good graphics though, and it isn’t one of the cookie cutter world of warcraft wannabe type games with great graphics, but horribly boring gameplay. You can even change the difficulty of the dungeons.

    Ok maybe people might like this. I know that some people might argue its not a FREE MMORPG but its close. All you have to do is buy the game. No monthly fees. Its like getting Modern Warfare 2 only $30 cheaper. Its called Guild Wars. Amazing gameplay and graphics. Easy story to follow that diverges your character into the story. Also good customizing and it actually takes skill since the top level is 20. So its just about your build, not level. Its at www.guildwars.com. also wait for Guild Wars 2 to come out. Thats gonna be 10x better.

    … truly beautiful… i really love this site! i cant tell you how long ive been waiting for something similar… oh and btw you are now the reason my dad now calls me a “hermit” lol XD keep it up i love this list… you are truly inspiring… if your name wasnt “paul” i’d propose… is that enough idolizing? no?… ah well cant wait til the next time you add some games to this WOOT!
