About
What is Pseudorant?
Pseudorant was created March of 2008 for the sole purpose of helping others (and myself) learn more about computer technology and the internet. Prior to starting this website I had never worked with a content management system (CMS) or PHP. Now that I have been working with WordPress I am starting to get a better understanding of both of these things.
Paul – Hey all! I have been working with computers all my life and have been working in the computer industry for the past 10 years. My family purchased our first computer back in the late 80’s so I have about 20 years of experience working with PCs.
In the past 8 years I have had numerous jobs in the computer industry ranging from help desk support, computer disassembly and data management, circuit board prep and manufacturing, service technician, web designer and a lot more. Background includes:
Building and troubleshooting PCs
Creating instruction manuals for new PC users
Co-Founding the E.C.A.P (Equity in Computer Access Program)
Tutoring high school staff in the use of PCs and current software
Providing graphic design services for small business
Computer disassembly and asset management
Refurbishing and testing PCs
Help desk technical support
Fidelity investments support representative
Circuit board prep and assembly
HTML / Java / ASP / PHP
Web-design
Photoshop and commercial art
My current position is as a project manager for an online computer company. I provide troubleshooting, quality assurance, web and graphic design, system configuration, and a lot of other interesting stuff. I like my job, and I am trying to use the experience I gain from everyday situations to help others through the articles posted here on the site.
Joe – (aka Killer Ninja Coder Monkey!) Joe is the very first author I have brought in to help work on Pseudorant. He is a long time friend of mine and has always participated in any crazy project I think up.
Joe has an extensive background in programming and coding of all kinds. He has a knack for learning a language in a matter of days and is always tearing something apart to figure out how it works.
I am going to leave this section open for now so Joe can add anything he would like for his “About” section on the website.
