Fallout 3 the Latest Victim of Piracy
Fallout 3 Falls Victims to the Pirates
Bethesda Software is one of the latest companies to feel the sting of piracy on their newest title Fallout 3. Weeks before the games release there was a link posted on a torrent site to a 6.5gb download for the game for the Xbox360.
It is surprising to most that the pirated version of this game was the xbox versions which is leading some to believe it was due to a leak at one of the manufacturing plants that is printing the games.
Bethesda has already begun sending cease and desist letters to torrent sites asking them to take the game down, but we all know once it is out there it can’t be stopped.
It’s somewhat ironic that this occurred soon after I published an article about EndWar’s complaints on piracy, but I do plan to show my support for this amazing title by purchasing my copy along with the majority of gamers out there.

Halo 3 Recon Trailer Now Available
New Cryptic Trailer for Halo 3 Recon Leaves Lots of Questions
If you are a fan of the Halo series you have probably already heard mention of the new Halo 3 trailer that is out on the net which is creating more questions than it is answering.
I heard about this a week ago but didn’t get around to watching the trailer until today. It was fairly long and slow, and didn’t showcase much in the way of graphics as it appeared to be mostly pre-rendered CGI clips.
From what we can tell it looks like the game will most likely contain an in-depth multiplayer element similar to the titles before it.
The other thing that is implied is this will be a more tactical campaign then the straight gun and run versions of Halo we are all used to.
Most of this is currently speculation since we really don’t have much concrete information on the title, but it is great to see there will be other additions to the Halo franchise that has done so well over the years.

Piracy is “Killing the PC” Asserts EndWar Director
Director of Tom Clancey’s Latest Game on Piracy
Today Ubisoft’s Michael de Plater announced how piracy is killing the PC as a platform. Now I was under the impressions that the only thing being affected by piracy is the Somalian coast, because this same argument has been put forth by developers for years and yet the gaming industry is thriving just as much now, if not more so than it was 10 years ago.
Along with the assertion Mr. Plater went on to state that “a potential PC version will not launch alongside its console counterparts as a result.”
Now this seems like a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. There are many fans out there dying to play this game that simply refuse to play certain games on a console. Or do not own a console. Ubisoft is effectively punishing these customers as if they have some ability to stop the small percentage of software pirates out there.
This is really not anything new, but for this particular the title the argument has resurfaced yet again. For more information on the article checkout the full story at IGN.com.
